Daily Posts for now

My Girlfriend was diagnosed last year with a brain tumor and recently had to have another surgery due to regrowth. They got it all this time but she will be going through radiation treatments soon for six weeks. Due to this posts may not happen as frequently as I would like I REALLY APPOLOGIZE for the inconvenience this may cause :-( Also im very sorry for the lack of updates lately we were trying to see what was going to happen with this situation. But the bright side is that its not Cancer again and they got it all this time and just have to radiate it to keep it from coming back. Thanks for your understanding and I will post with updates throughout the opporating season

Windseeker Update

Height Requirement: 52"

WindSeeker Construction Update: 3/02/2011

Tower pieces arrive at Kings Island

Seven pieces of the tower for the new 301' tall WindSeeker ride have arrived at the park from Holland. The eighth and final piece is expected to arrive by the end of the week.
Vertical construction of Kings Island's newest thrill ride is expected to begin by the middle of the month.

(The above statement is property of www.visitkingsisland.com)

Were all getting very excited about Kings Island Opening Day as it nears closer. I only live 1 hour away or less so be expecting bunches of updates!!! Although you may see a delay as my girlfriend who I just got engaged too had brain surgery the other day so it may be a bit before you see in park detail changes but I will do research and post you with the latest changes to expect to the best of my ability!! Thanks

Son Of Beast 2011

Son of Beast Update for 2011

Well, here is the question we have all been asking for the last year. “Will the Son of Beast Live again?” Well as of 11/24/2010 Its as stated “Closed Until Further Notice”.

Well….maybe not for 2011!!

According to a anonymous source who attended IAAPA last week they supposedly have heard a conversation take place between someone from Cedar Fair and Rocky Mountain guys about doing some repair work on the Son of Beast in the near future. Which would be a dream come true for us coaster junkie’s who just don’t care that a woman almost died on this monster ride. So take it for what its worth and cross your fingers and hope this source is right and we see Son of Beast back in either late 2011 or early 2012!! Or maybe if were really lucky opening day 2011 but don’t get your hopes up to much for that unless you have a really lucky rabbits foot.

Stay tuned for more updates and check out the Kings Island News App on your Nokia Smart phone every Monday for the Latest updates and throughout the week for some interesting daily articles.

Flight Deck Gets Fresh Paint for 2011

Flight Deck formerly known as Top Gun is undergoing some serious overhaul and should look like a brand new coaster this 2011 season as kings island’s workmen are currently putting a nice primer coat of paint on the 17-year-old ride.

Guests soar over trees and swing almost too close for comfort next to huge metal beams and through a hilly wooden terrain next to the world famous Son of Beast rollercoaster at speeds up to 51 miles per hour on this single track suspended roller coaster beloved by many including myself.

Flight Deck has given over 18,454,073 rides since the ride opened in 1993, which is the 17th-most in the parks entire history. Its record year was in 1993, when the coaster gave over 1,527,492 rides to returning coaster addicts.
