Flight Deck Gets Fresh Paint for 2011

Flight Deck formerly known as Top Gun is undergoing some serious overhaul and should look like a brand new coaster this 2011 season as kings island’s workmen are currently putting a nice primer coat of paint on the 17-year-old ride.

Guests soar over trees and swing almost too close for comfort next to huge metal beams and through a hilly wooden terrain next to the world famous Son of Beast rollercoaster at speeds up to 51 miles per hour on this single track suspended roller coaster beloved by many including myself.

Flight Deck has given over 18,454,073 rides since the ride opened in 1993, which is the 17th-most in the parks entire history. Its record year was in 1993, when the coaster gave over 1,527,492 rides to returning coaster addicts.
